Managing for Change, Innovation and Continuous Improvement

This course is designed to provide participants with the competencies and skills to manage, and indeed encourage, a changing work environment in a productive and positive way. Participants will gain skills in both planning effective improvements and change, and responding to unplanned change. There will be a focus on both ensuring effective Continuous Improvement and more transformational change in the Not For Profit Workplace.


Who should attend:

This workshop is designed for Managers, Coordinators and Team Leaders, responsible for in-home and centre-based support workers.

Outcomes:

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify the nature of Continuous Improvement, Transformational Change and Innovation and identify the effects of change on individuals and the team
  • Develop methods to enhance the positive aspects of change
  • Communicate with team members to assist the process of change
  • Manage work re-design and job changes to cope with the impact of change
  • Use work systems to facilitate new standards, policies and procedures
  • Use continuous improvements and strategic change
