The Effective Senior Team Leader

This workshop is designed for the team member who is showing leadership qualities and who will benefit from improved communication, effective relationship, team work and other skills which will ensure he or she takes a supportive role in their job. The workshop will also develop skills for potential promotion.


Workshop contents:

  1. The effective team member: roles and functions of a team; establishing and working to goals; self-confidence and self-esteem; being an acting team leader; the team from the team leader and team member perspective; maintaining client focus.
  2. Communication skills: managing working relationships; improving your communication; communicating with the team leader and managers.
  3. Focusing on the client.
  4. Dealing with difficult team members and issues.

Outcomes:

Participant should be able to:

  • Understand their role in a team;
  • Identify the factors that will ensure a high performance team;
  • Communicate effectively;
  • Develop credibility with their team member and the team leader;
  • Make effective decisions;
  • Deal with difficult team colleagues;
  • Work effectively with the manager, coordinator and team leader.
